Developing green livelihoods for sustainable forest management in Cameroon
This is a 5 years project with the main objective to explore opportunities that will enable the empowerment of the most broadly representative and downwardly accountable local institutions for sustainable forest resource management and livelihood support in Cameroon. Given that forests are at the centre of the demographic challenges and issues related to food security in Cameroon and that more than 80% of the rural population of Cameroon depends on small scale farming for livelihood, the sustainability of forest and its services depend on how well its resources are manage.
