Second Workshop on Proposal Writing and Fund Raising
A capacity building training workshop aimed at building capacity for early career professionals on project writing and fundraising was recently held at the head office of RCESD, Bomaka, Buea from December, 15-17, 2014. The training was facilitated by Mbunya Francis Nkemnyi, Executive Director of the organization.
During the 3 day training, participants were introduced to project writing and drilled on what aspects to consider when developing a good project idea. To expatiate on the aspects, a general exercise and individual work sessions on good project ideas was carried out and critics made with further exercises on developing project ideas, introductions, problem statements and objectives, results, implementation and budgeting using Excel by participants. Furthermore, participants were coached on how to search for project funders.
The 11 participants, all early career professionals left the 3 day training workshop contented writers and developers of their first project ideas; ideas they developed during the training. They expressed satisfaction and eagerness to be participants in future workshops.
