RCESD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TBA/CEPF CHAMPIONS BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION CAPACITY OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION IN CAMEROON
RCESD a non-profit organization recently won a 14 Months contract with TBA/CEPF under the theme:
‘Enhancing Biodiversity Conservation Capacity of Civil Society Organizations”
The main goal was to enhance conservation around GUINEA FOREST ECOSYSTEM . The program was designed in four different modules; project development and fundraising, institutional management and leadership, communication and advocacy, organizational mentoring and on-going support and feedback.
The first phase of the TBA/CEPT project started in April 2021. It began with fundraising and project development made up of 8 different modules which included; designing conservation projects, measuring projects impacts, unpacking log frames, writing a winning proposal and fundraising for sustainability . At the end CEPF launched a call for proposal for all organization who took part in this training to carry out a conservation project. The projects had to to be designed considering the ecosystem profile of the Guinea forest. At the end of the training certificates where issued for all participants.
The next phase focused on institutional management and leadership which was geared at strengthening the leadership skills of selected CSOs to improve their leadership influence. The program greatly benefited RCESD, we had many positive feedback from all the staff that took part in the training program with TBA. We hope to have more of such training sessions and to also extend the knowledge to other civil organizations.
RCESD is indeed a home for capacity building and biodiversity conservation
